It's officially 2017!!! By now, most people have probably already broken their resolutions for the upcoming year. I decided to just keep "doing me" this year, and not mess with resolutions that would be pushed aside. If you don't follow me on Instagram, I will explain the reason for my break in blogging. I have two wonderful furbabies, Dobby (Italian Greyhound) & Onyx (Black Cat). They both have fallen ill at different times within the past few weeks. First, it was Dobby right before Christmas. He came down with a cold. I came home one day from work to find him lethargic and not greeting me, which never happens. He wouldn't even move off the couch. Not even for food, so I gave him some low-sodium chicken broth to keep him from becoming further dehydrated. I took him to the vet first thing the next morning. His fever had subsided, and his bloodwork was perfect. The vet gave him some antibiotic shots and a camel hump (fluid under his skin to make him hydrated). Within a couple days, he was back to his energetic silly self. I was so happy. Last week, Onyx developed a cough, so my amazing boyfriend took him to the vet for me while I was at work. I was worried that he was coming down with pneumonia again because he had it around this time last year. His lungs, heart, and tempertaure were great, so the vet thought it was a hairball problem. Two days later, the coughing started again, and he was vomitting. So I took him back to the vet, and he had a slight fever with wheezing in his lungs also. The vet gave him some antibiotic shots, and he hasn't coughed since. I take him back for a recheck next week, and he seems to be feeling better now. My furbabies are my life. They have taught me how deep I can love and admire another creature. They make me laugh and feel secure when my depession and anxiety kicks in. I am so grateful to be loved by them, and to be able to be their Momma. Without further adieu, here is my first look for 2017....
This is my favorite winter look for this year. Everything is from Deb Shops, except the tights which are from Target. If you are looking at me crazy and saying that isn't winter fashion, I am from East Texas. Our winter is ranging from the 30's to the 70's, and is switching from day to day. I loved everything about this look, and was super excited to do this pbotoshoot. The sweater dress is perfect for my Texas winter, and fits beautifully. I loved playing with the colors and coordinating the blues and burgundy. I bought the jacket to go with this outfit to keep the casual vibe. The burgundy boots and beanie were a fun twist. I bought the tights the day of the shoot because it was a little chillier than I was anticipating. I felt it really brought the outfit together, and am glad I added this accent to the look. This was my first time shopping at Deb Shops, and I was happy with this whole outfit. Everything fit true to size, and the prices were great. To shop this look just click on the links below.
P.S. The dress is sold out, so I won't be able to link it below. Sorry for the inconvience.
